Welcome to the volleyball season! We look forward to working with our enthusiastic student-athletes to develop their volleyball skills during the next few months.
The two primary goals of our program are:
- To Do Right. This means teaching athletes acceptable behaviours leading to individual and team success.
- To develop the athletes’ volleyball skills within a competitive team environment.
At GCMS we take the term student-athlete seriously. The word student comes first as the student's primary responsibility is to strive to do their best in academic pursuits, and give their best effort on all assignments in order to remain eligible. The Sportsmanship Agreement is in place to help students focus on this goal. Second, the student is a representative of our school and must adhere to the school’s behavioural expectations.
Staff, students, volunteers and spectators are all expected to follow the Parkland School Division Code of Conduct as well as all relevant school codes of conduct, and the Sportsmanship Agreement and Parent/Guardian Pledge.
