Here is our weekly update of events and information for Greystone Centennial Middle School.
Cell Phone Policy Review
Our new Cell Phone and Technology is now in full effect. You can read the full policy here. The main points of our new cell phone and technology policy are as follows:
- Cell phones should be kept in lockers during school hours including recess and lunch.
- Students will have 2 periods of 2 minutes per day to check their cell phones and respond to important messages.
- Students caught in violation of this rule will have their cell phones confiscated for the day.
- Any other technology that is being used as a distraction from school work will be confiscated for the day.
- Students will still be reachable at any time by calling the office.
FOGS News
Wed. June 12 - Freezie day. Council will be selling freezies for $1 and some other canteen items. They will be out at the tarmac at lunch, weather permitting.
Friday June 14 - Calahoo meat order pick up after lunch until 4pm. If families are unable to pick up their order during that time, they will need to find someone to pick up for them or make arrangements with us for pick up. Please and thanks.

Library News
Great deals for Summer Reading: Reminder that the last order for Scholastic is extended to Monday, June 10. Go to Scholastic.ca and use the code RC239143
Library books are due June 14. Classes can win prizes if all their books are returned and lost books are found/replaced.

Yearbooks will be delivered to GCMS in the fall, and will be distributed once they arrive. Students moving onto other endeavors, we can arrange pick-up at the school once they have arrived.
New to High School Parent & Student Night
Spruce Grove Composite High School is offering an information session on June 12 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm about High School programming. This session is designed for current grade 9 families who have a first student going to SGCHS next year. For more information, see their flyer.
