Here is this week's edition of Inferno News. We are so pleased to have our support staff back at Greystone! 

Registration Reminder - Securing Transportation

This is a reminder to please complete your child's registration for next year by Friday, March 28 to guarantee transportation (for in-catchment students). Registration each year does not automatically renew. Although this appears quite early, this is required so transportation can plan routes for 2025-2026 and so we can begin planning for next school year as well. If you require assistance, please contact the office.

FOGS Fundraising Package

Any orders from the FOGS fundraising package that was sent out earlier this month is due to the school Monday morning. Please send all cash and cheques (make out to FOGS) along with all order forms to school. Reminder orders will be ready for pick up at the school Thursday April 9th from 2:30-5pm. 

Breakfast Program

Our breakfast program is starting back up on Monday, March 24.  Please remind your child that if they want to grab some breakfast in the morning they must enter the building when the doors open and collect the food prior to our 9 AM bell.

RunWild Kids Race

The RunWild racing event is back again this year in Spruce Grove Saturday, May 3rd at 10:30am in Central Park. This 1.2 km race is for kids aged 4-12 and raises money for local charities. Racers can register online at RunWild.ca and join our Greystone team under the team tab. Registrations are due April 25th and race packages will be delivered to our school April 28th. Racers will receive a race package, t-shirt and finishers medal! Come join the fun! Please contact Leigh Wolitski with any questions leigh.wolitski@psd.ca. 

Archery

Good luck to all MIllstone Archers as they shoot their hearts out at the Alberta Archery Provincials in Edmonton this weekend! The kids have worked so hard all year for this opportunity.  A huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers who helped make the 3rd Annual Millstone Archery Tournament such a huge success.

Spring Concert
Our Spring Concert is happening on Monday, March 24th, in the Greystone Gymnasium. Students need to arrive by 6:00 PM and head to the music room for warm-up. The concert will start at 6:30 PM, with the Greystone Gym doors opening at 6:15 PM. This year, we will also be joined by the Millgrove Choir. I ask that students please come dressed in all black or their choir shirts for this event as well.

Congratulations to our Talented Choir Students!
We want to extend a big shout out to all of our students who performed at various choir events throughout the past week. Special recognition goes to our senior choir for their stunning performance at the Winspear and the Choral Celebration. Additionally, kudos to House of Harmony for their collaboration with Vocal Collective and to all choir students who participated in Choir Day with Millgrove.

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who contributed to our annual Choir Day. Your support of our music program is greatly appreciated!

Grade 4 Transition Dates

As we begin looking to next year, here are some important dates to keep in mind:

Thursday, May 8: Inferno Night (GCMS Gr. 4 Open House) 6:00-7:00 PM

Monday, May 12: GCMS Administration Visit Grade 4 Students @ Millgrove School (AM)

Thursday, May 22: Inferno Day (Grade 4 Students Visit GCMS) 9:30-11:30 AM

New to Greystone students are welcome to come in on Thursday, May 8 to check out our building and meet a few of the staff.  This event is focused on the grade 4 students transitioning to middle school, but it includes a general overview presentation for parents, and can include a quick tour of the school while the Grade 4 families work through their activities.

On Thursday, May 22, Millgrove students will be arriving by bus - they should arrive at school as they regularly would that day.

Below you will find the schedule for hot lunch this year.  This schedule can also be found on the GCMS website.  If you do not yet have a hot lunch account please see this document for instructions on how to get set up.
