Greystone Cell Phone Policy Investigation
We are currently in the process of reviewing different cell phone policies that schools in our area are enacting. The subject of cell phone use in schools has been a hot topic lately both at Greystone and around the world.
You can look forward to a parent and student survey regarding cell phones at Greystone next week to inform our next steps.
In the meantime, there is a provincial Engagement on cellphone use in schools survey that you can complete here.
Spring League Basketball (Gr. 4-6)
Greystone is once again hosting a Spring league at Greystone. Spring league is a Greystone in house Basketball league for grade 4 (students attending Greystone next year), 5, and 6 where every student who registers gets to play on a team. Games will take place after school with Boys being Monday and Wednesdays and the girls will be Tuesday and Thursdays.
Spring League is a great opportunity for students to learn new Basketball skills or further develop skills in a fun relaxed environment. Grade 8/9 students will be coaching the Spring League teams with a teacher supervising at all times. To register and for more information, please click here.
For additional information, please contact Mr. Granley at the school.
Technology Reminder
Please ensure your devices are charged and brought to school everyday!
Many students are forgetting or not having their device sufficiently charged. We have a limited amount of "extras" to borrow. There is no guarantee that there will be one to borrow and this service is in the event of the occasional time one is needed.
In the event the BYOD is not an option anymore due to the device being broken or you are not able to bring it to school for the rest of the year, a school device can be assigned temporarily or for the rest of the year. Please contact the homeroom teacher to make arrangements.
