Remembrance Day Ceremony: Thursday, November 10 @ 10:30 am

Parents and community members are welcome to join us at Greystone Centennial Middle School on Thursday, November 10th at 10:30 pm for our Remembrance Day ceremony.

We will mark Remembrance Day and honour our Canadian armed forces through poems, music, and ceremony. We will have poppies available for all of our students, and we encourage students to make a cash donation if they are able to. To support the poppy campaign online, please visit https://poppyboxabnwt.com/home

Veterans Affairs Canada has information on Canada's military history, people and stories, commemorative events, and other information. "Veterans want Canadians to understand the price of freedom. They are passing the torch to the people of Canada, so the memory of their sacrifices will continue, and the values they fought for will live on in all of us."https://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/remembrance

For more information on Indigenous Veterans, please visit the Canadian Encyclopedia and remember the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces. https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/.../indigenous...
